A Glance employee accuses a senior manager of sexual harassment and demands action

An employee at Glance, a smart lock screen platform owned by InMobi, has accused a senior manager of sexual harassment. The employee also claims that the company has yet to respond to the complaint.

The aforementioned individual worked as an intern at Glance as a UX designer and had a close working relationship with the manager.

The employee reported the incident on her social media account, alleging that the team’s product manager made inappropriate physical contact and unsettling remarks. She also shared screenshots of her email to authorities and her conversation with company officials on social media.

Her post stated that the incident occurred on September 7, 2023, and that the product manager was allegedly involved in an attempted assault on her. The email also stated that in order to seek safety, she had abandoned all of her possessions.

The victim reported the incident to HR representatives, who assured her that the proper procedures were being followed diligently.

According to the victim’s screenshots, an HR official stated that the committee is fully aware of the gravity of the situation and is actively taking all necessary steps. The company stated its commitment to addressing workplace sexual harassment; however, as part of their protocol, they must listen to all parties involved.

Furthermore, the company disclosed that it provides anti-harassment training and sensitization programmes to all new and existing employees. They also mentioned the presence of a well-established complaint procedure, as well as the existence of a long-standing Anti-Harassment Committee.

They stated that they acted quickly, responding within 12 hours of receiving the complaint, initiating an investigation, and providing counselling support to the complainant within 24 hours of receiving the complaint.
