Airbus to hire 1,000 more people in UK

Airbus to layoff 750 jobs as part of the restructuring

Software, cryogenics, robotics, cyber security, and manufacturing engineers are all sought after by Airbus. In addition, it is eager to add project and programme managers as it prepares to increase its UK workforce by at least 1,000. Talent from a wide range of aerospace-related fields is being sought after.

According to a recent Airbus/Oxford Economics survey report, at least 79,000 people in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland already have a job thanks to Airbus. About half of its suppliers are small and medium-sized businesses (SME) in the UK. Unsurprisingly, Airbus contributes $875 billion and $4.88 billion respectively to the UK’s annual GDP and expenditures.

Airbus had declared its intention to increase the number of employees it has in India by 2000 engineers over the next few years at the beginning of September. The goal of the action is to bring India’s total workforce up to 5,000 people. Even more, the aerospace business had a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vadodara’s Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV).

A specialised engineering programme created especially for the aerospace industry was to be established. A strong pool of qualified professionals prepared to meet the expanding demands of the booming aerospace sector will also be developed as a result of the partnership.
