Dream 11 CEO offers job to Indians fired from Twitter and Meta, says his company is profitable

Harsh Jain, has given a public call to Indians who were laid off – primarily those who are struggling with H1B visa issues – to return to the country. He said these employees could help bring the growth potential of Indian tech companies to fruition.

Due to the recession, there have been layoffs in many companies. Most recently, Major tech companies like Meta laid off over 11,000 jobs, which is nearly 13% of its workforce globally followed by Twitter about 3,700 jobs or half of the company’s workforce in a bid to cut costs.

“With all the 2022 Tech layoffs (52,000+!) in the US, please spread the word to remind Indians to come back home (specially those with visa issues) to help Indian Tech realise our hyper-growth potential in the next decade,” Jain said on Twitter.

Jain boasted about the profitable business by saying, “We at Dream Sports are a profitable, $8 Billion Co with 150 Million+ users and 10 kickass portfolio companies,” he said.

Some big tech companies like Meta have blamed the macroeconomic environment, and drop in ad revenue as a reason for layoffs. The company has also given over-hiring as another reason to reduce headcounts.
