Hexaware Technologies is looking for talent in emerging cities as part of its major expansion drive. The technology firm has opened a delivery centre in Bhopal, taking another step towards expanding its delivery network and providing clients with cutting-edge digital solutions across geographies and industries.
“We will harness local talent to serve our global clients,” says Chinmoy Banerjee, corporate vice president and global head – banking and business process services, Hexaware. “The centre is expected to grow from 250 employees to a 1,000-strong workforce within a year.” The opening of this new delivery centre is in line with the company’s strategy of “moving closer to where talent is available and assisting the organisation in meeting the growing market demand.”
Given its proximity to major metropolitan cities, air and road connectivity, and the presence of a pool of highly skilled IT professionals, Bhopal, an educational hub, serves as the ideal location.
To provide value and an exceptional customer experience, the centre will leverage people, processes, and technologies. This strategy makes use of Hexaware’s operational expertise, domain knowledge, and business process automation, while also leveraging the power of next-generation technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
R Srikrishna, chief executive officer, Hexaware, is “highly optimistic that the Bhopal centre will open doors to fresh talent pools, offering IT & BPO professionals the chance to contribute their expertise in serving our global clientele.”
Clearly, the company “places immense importance on expanding into emerging cities as a fundamental aspect of its core strategy. This latest expansion “is a testament to its ongoing efforts to broaden our service network.”
Its ‘Revive and Thrive’ initiative will extend support to women professionals at its Bhopal centre too. This programme offers clear pathways to full-time employment for talented women who may have taken a break from their jobs for personal reasons.
Hexaware employs about 27,900 across its over 45 offices in 19 countries.
