Madhya Pradesh CM distributes offer letters and acceptance letters to youth  

Rozgar Mela is one of the many initiatives taken by the central government for employment generation in the country.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan distributed offer letters and approval letters of schemes to a number of selected applicants at the Mega Job Fair and Shramik Chaupal in Bhopal on May 29. About 65 companies participated in the three-day mega job fair, which started on May 27 at the divisional ITI Govindpura, Bhopal. On a similar line, the Central Government and several state governments have also offered appointment letters to thousands of youth, who need jobs, and this process is on.  

With the mega job fair, Shramik Chaupal was also organised in Madhya Pradesh. In this event, things related to various schemes and e-labour cards, Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan, M.P. Building and other construction workers board, and M.P. Registration have been done under the unorganised external/rural workers’ board. Registration of workers and distribution of benefits will also be done by EPFO, ESIC, and the Central Chief Labour Commissioner, organisations of the Union Ministry of Labour.

Rozgar Mela is one of the many initiatives taken by the central government for employment generation in the country. Only recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed around 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits on May 16. This initiative of the Centre aims to provide jobs to 10 lakh youth in the central government. 

Earlier in January 2023, around 71,000 appointment letters were distributed to newly inducted recruits in government departments and organisations. In the Rozgar Mela conducted in April 2023, around 71,000 appointment letters were handed over. The first phase of Rozgar Mela was launched by PM Modi in October 2022, when appointment letters were handed over to more than 75,000 newly appointed recruits. 

The new recruits under Rozgar Melas join various positions and posts like Gramin Dak Sevaks, Inspector of Posts, Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, Junior Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Clerk, Track Maintainer, Assistant Section Officer, Lower Division Clerk, Sub Divisional Officer, Tax Assistants, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Inspectors, Nursing Officers, Assistant Security Officers, Fireman, Assistant Accounts Officer, Assistant Audit Officer, Divisional Accountant, Auditor, Constable, Head Constable, Assistant Commandant, Principal, Trained Graduate Teacher, Assistant Registrar, Assistant Professor, among others.

The Central Government has been implementing various policies and initiatives for employment generation for last 8-9 years. The Centre recognises that employment generation is crucial for inclusive economic growth, poverty reduction and social stability. 

In the meantime, the huge investment being made by the government in infrastructure projects is also creating employment in various related sectors. Moreover, initiatives like Skill India, Startup India and Make in India and others are also playing an instrumental role in employment generation. India’s startup ecosystem is also immensely contributing to generating employment and business prospects, as the Government of India is assisting them a lot.
