SAP Labs India has announced the opening of a new office in Pune, with the goal of hiring 300 people. The office will be located in the Pune neighbourhood of Kharadi.
SAP began its journey in India in Bengaluru with a small team of 150 employees and has grown rapidly in terms of job opportunities. In addition, the company is actively building a new office in Bengaluru that will house up to 15,000 employees. On May 29, 2023, the groundbreaking ceremony for this new campus in Devanahalli, near Bengaluru Airport, took place.
SAP Labs India will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in India in 2023 as part of its commitment to increasing employment. The company recently announced its intention to more than double its workforce in artificial intelligence (AI) by 2024.
Around 40% of the company’s workforce is based in India, and 25% of all SAP patents originate from SAP Labs India, highlighting the country’s significant contributions to pioneering research and development within the organisation. Almost 60% of SAP’s Indian workforce is dedicated to AI-related projects, demonstrating the company’s commitment to job creation in this dynamic field.
