The Tata Motors Workers Union has announced the revival of the Multi Skill Beneficiary Plan to enhance employees’ technical skills and efficiency. This initiative, initially introduced during the Covid-19 pandemic, aims to bolster the technical development and proficiency of Tata Motors’ workforce. The plan is being reinstated at both the Jamshedpur and Mumbai facilities, underscoring the company’s dedication to fostering employee growth and achieving operational excellence.

Tata Motors had previously announced its commitment to developing a future-ready workforce equipped with the skills required for electric vehicles (EVs) and other new-age technologies. The company aims to equip 50% of its workforce with new-age auto tech capabilities within five years. In a media briefing, the company revealed that its employees had invested over 340,000 hours in specialized training and development, which was to be delivered in various forms and formats.
