Ola CEO shocked by employees’  poor attendance and warns against exploiting WFH.

Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has made it plain that staff members who don’t show up for work would face consequences. He has questioned the employees’ sense of self-respect and shared with them his concerning discovery that many employees have incredibly low attendance rates.

He suggested that workers are abusing the work-from-home option, which should only be utilised in extreme cases where it is absolutely necessary, by failing to show up for work. He emphasised how rude and offensive absenteeism can be to real workers who put forth a lot of effort and make valuable contributions at work.

Aggarwal has informed the employees that the organisation plans to implement more stringent attendance policies. HR will get in touch with anyone who have been discovered to have misused the WFH flexibility.

Bhavish Aggarwal advised against disparaging “basic intelligence” to individuals who attributed faulty attendance data to a bug in the facial recognition system.

Aggarwal obviously believes that the workers who have been abusing the company’s flexibility are lacking in self-respect and have been openly “fleecing” Ola.

Ola Electric’s ambitious aspirations to focus entirely on new goods in 2025 were recently unveiled by Bhavish Aggarwal. In the New Year, he had promised to make the goal of launching “one product every month” a reality. In March 2025, Ola plans to launch its motorbikes, and even earlier, its next-generation scooters.
