Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has encouraged employees to make artificial intelligence (AI) an essential part of their everyday tasks, signalling a stronger push for company-wide AI adoption. Speaking at an internal all-hands meeting—details of which later surfaced through media reports—Huang emphasised that AI should be embedded across workflows, from software development to product innovation. He described AI not as a threat, but as a tool that can significantly boost productivity and open new opportunities.
Huang reportedly questioned why some managers continued to discourage AI usage, noting that such restrictions run counter to the company’s direction at a time when AI is transforming industries. His remarks align with a broader trend among leading technology companies that are increasingly promoting the use of AI tools in the workplace.
The rapid integration of AI across sectors has also sparked concerns about job security. Amazon, for instance, recently announced a restructuring affecting approximately 14,000 corporate positions, with additional reductions reportedly under consideration as automation advances.
Huang, however, reiterated that AI is expected to reshape roles rather than eliminate them. He stated that employees who actively use AI will gain a competitive edge, while those who resist may fall behind. Despite industry-wide uncertainty, Nvidia continues to expand its workforce, growing from 29,600 employees in fiscal 2024 to 36,000 in fiscal 2025. Huang added that the company still plans to hire nearly 10,000 more employees as it scales training and onboarding initiatives.
As Nvidia strengthens its position in the global chip market, Huang highlighted that embracing AI is essential for maintaining competitiveness—both for the organisation and for its employees.
