Allcargo Gati to hire around 3000 staff ahead of the festive season

Allcargo Gati, an express distribution and supply chain management company in India, is expecting a significant increase in shipments during the upcoming festive season. The company aims to improve the efficiency of order processing and last-mile delivery operations.

To prepare for the surge in demand, Allcargo Gati has taken strategic measures to expand its workforce and operational capabilities. The company has enhanced its manpower-supply services by adding six new providers, allowing it to recruit over 3,000 additional employees for various operational roles. This hiring initiative is part of a broader effort to increase staffing in response to the anticipated growth in order volumes.

Furthermore, the company has strengthened its supply chain management capabilities by investing in advanced technologies and expanding its workforce at sortation and delivery centers.

In order to meet the expected surge, Allcargo Gati has taken several other strategic steps. It has expanded its last-mile delivery operations to streamline order processing and improve delivery speeds. The company has also partnered with multinational brands and major e-commerce players, introducing last-mile delivery services for these companies in key regions such as Maharashtra and West Bengal.

Additionally, the company is focused on enhancing capacity, productivity, and efficiency at its sorting and fulfillment centres. This includes the installation of double-deep racking systems, conveyors, advanced handheld terminals, and the adoption of data-driven route optimization solutions, all aimed at ensuring faster last-mile deliveries.

With 15 mother hub sorting centers already in place, Allcargo Gati is prepared to efficiently handle increased volumes. These centers are operationally optimized to handle higher capacity during peak periods such as the festive season.
