In a major push toward development and employment generation, the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has greenlit 19 new projects worth ₹28,546 crore. These projects are expected to create 30,270 job opportunities across the state. Some of these initiatives will be based in Amaravati, where land acquisition is underway. Additionally, ₹2,733 crore has been earmarked for new infrastructure, including a 49-floor government tower.
To further its employment agenda, the state has implemented the Andhra Pradesh Twenty Point Programme, targeting the creation of 20 lakh jobs for youth. In just one year, the government has successfully attracted investments worth ₹9.30 lakh crore. A significant focus remains on promoting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to drive industrial expansion.
On the global front, the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has announced international job openings for skilled welders in Qatar. Positions include roles in Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, ARC Multi Welding, and general welding services. Selected candidates will receive free accommodation, food, medical care, local transport, and a return flight once during the minimum two-year contract. The work schedule will follow a six-day week, with Fridays off.
Eligible applicants must hold an ITI/ITC certification and have at least four years of relevant experience. The age limit is set between 24 and 45 years. Monthly salaries will range from QAR 1,800 to 2,600 (approximately ₹42,478 to ₹61,365).
