Apple opens a new 15-story office in Bengaluru’s Minsk Square, which will house up to 1,200 employees.

Over 40,000 people are being hired by Apple suppliers in Vietnam

On January 17, 2024, Apple announced its plan to expand in India by setting up a new office in Minsk Square, Bangalore. The new office building will be 15 stories tall and will have enough space to accommodate 1200 employees. The office will feature labs, a Caffe Macs, and areas for teamwork and well-being. The interiors will be designed using local materials such as stone and wood, and fabric for walls and floors. The office will also have lots of native plants.

The office is designed to save energy and will run entirely on renewable energy, aiming for the highest LEED certification. Apple has already been carbon neutral since 2020 and has been using 100% renewable energy in all its facilities since 2018.

Apple has recently opened two stores in India, and this new office will be added to its existing offices in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. Apple currently employs around 3,000 people in India, and their collaboration with Indian suppliers supports hundreds of thousands of jobs nationwide.

Apple mainly puts together iPhones in India using contract manufacturers. However, it plans to expand and also assemble iPads and AirPods. Currently, Foxconn, Pegatron, and Wistron are the three companies in India that put together iPhones for Apple.

The company said that Bangalore has already become a hub for the company’s talented team, including operations, IT services, support services, and consulting software and hardware engineers.
