Starting today, on 1 July 2024, employees of the Emirates Group will receive a 4% increase in their basic salary. This announcement comes after the Group declared record profits in May 2024 and granted a 20-week bonus to its employees.

In addition to the salary hike, the Emirates Group has made several other changes to the remuneration and benefits of its employees. There is a 4% increase in the transport allowance, UAE national retention allowance, and flight crew working hours. Sustenance and lodging allowances have also been raised by 10 to 15%.

Moreover, the maternity leave has been extended from 60 to 90 days, with additional nursing breaks for new mothers. The paid paternity leave has also been increased from five to 10 working days.

Employees in certain grades will receive more long-term sick leave, and there is a 10% hike in the education support allowance.

Furthermore, the Emirates Group plans to hire 5,000 cabin crew in 2024, including flight attendants, pilots, and engineers. The hiring process will target candidates who have experience in hospitality and customer service, but fresh graduates with internship or part-time work experience will also be considered. Applicants must have at least completed Grade 12, with a minimum height of 160 cm and the ability to reach a height of 212 cm.
