Mumbai employees of Central Railway will have flexible working hours.

Around 4,000 Central Railway employees in Mumbai may soon opt for flexible work hours, starting November 1, 2023. This initiative aims to help employees avoid rush hour commuting, potentially reducing local train accidents linked to overcrowding. The decision could also instigate a revision of work schedules among private companies if peak-hour tickets are priced higher.
