Tata Electronics is looking for talent and to conduct roadshow in Taiwan

Tata Capital Recruits 340+ Management Trainees in FY23-24

Tata Electronics plans to hold a roadshow in Hsinchu, Taiwan on April 13, 2024. The company is establishing a plant in India to manufacture semiconductors and chips, and is looking for quality talent from Taiwan. Taiwan is known for meeting the demand for chips and semiconductors for over half of the world, so finding talent from there should not be difficult.

As per a Moneycontrol report, Tata Group is seeking Taiwanese professionals with at least five years of experience in equipment engineering, yield engineering, and automation engineering. Candidates with up to 16 years of experience in various roles in this field will also be considered. Tata Electronics is also looking for electric and mechanical troubleshooters, and technicians with diplomas will also be considered.

Selected candidates from Taiwan will receive 18 months of training before moving to India. Tata Electronics has already started working on setting up a Rs 91,000-crore semiconductor manufacturing plant in Dholera, Gujarat, which will be a source of livelihood for thousands. About 20,000 workers are likely to be employed directly and indirectly. A greenfield semiconductor assembling and testing plant is also being set up in Jagiroad, Assam, at a cost of about Rs 27,000 crore.

Hsinchu is a county in Taiwan known for the large number of plants manufacturing chips and semiconductors. Some of the known names in the field are Epista, United Microelectronics Corporation, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, and Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC).
