Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is planning to expand its workforce in France in response to the company’s growing business there. It aims to increase its headcount to 3,200 by 2027 from its current number of 1,600 employees. The present workforce comprises 60% French nationals, and TCS has been collaborating with 80 clients in France for almost 30 years now. Sapthagiri Chapalapalli, the head of European Business, TCS, is leading this expansion, and the company’s Paris innovation centre is proof of its commitment to pushing technological advancements in the area.
In the UK, TCS is partnering with Aviva, a British insurance provider, in a 15-year deal that will see Diligenta, TCS’ FCA-regulated subsidiary, handling end-to-end policy administration and servicing for more than 5.5 million policies on behalf of Aviva. This deal will enable TCS to facilitate the transformation of Aviva’s British life business, enhancing its customer experience through the use of TCS BaNCS-based platform.
TCS is one of the largest information technology (IT) employers in the UK, working with more than 200 big organizations such as Sainsbury’s, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Nationwide, M&S, Asda, and Boots. The company has been operating in the UK for over four decades.
