Three days in the office are required: Wipro to its employees

Wipro has recently launched a revised hybrid work policy aimed at enhancing flexibility while ensuring productivity and collaboration. According to this new framework, employees are required to work from the office three days a week.

In an email to employees, Saurabh Govil, the Chief Human Resources Officer, emphasized that this updated policy reflects the company’s commitment to employee well-being while maintaining a high-performance culture.

This policy is built on Wipro’s core values of collaboration, flexibility, inclusivity, and trust. It is designed to meet the diverse needs of the workforce while aligning with the evolving demands of the business. Employees are permitted to request up to 30 days of remote work annually for personal health needs or caregiving responsibilities for family members. To utilize this benefit, employees must obtain approval from their managers.

The policy took effect on October 1, 2024. Wipro believes that in-person interactions foster innovation and drive success; therefore, requiring employees to work in the office three days a week aims to create an environment where meaningful collaboration can flourish. Employees have the flexibility to choose which days they work in the office based on their collaborative needs.

Additionally, the policy demonstrates Wipro’s commitment to inclusivity and sensitivity toward special needs. By allowing employees to take remote work days for caregiving or personal health reasons, the company acknowledges that life’s unpredictability often requires extra support. This accommodation ensures that employees can manage challenging personal situations while staying productive and engaged in their professional roles.

This updated approach is part of Wipro’s broader effort to cultivate a progressive and inclusive workplace environment that balances employee well-being with the demands of a dynamic business landscape.
