TVS Mobility has announced an employee exchange initiative with Mitsubishi.

TVS Mobility has announced an employee exchange initiative with Mitsubishi.

TVS Mobility, the holding company managed by the T S Rajam family, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) to launch the TVS Mobility Mitsubishi Employee Exchange Programme (TMMEEP). This initiative aims to enhance skills, promote mutual growth, and train the next generation of leaders.

Under the agreement, employees from TVS Mobility will be hosted by MC Japan and its partners for skill development and training, with a primary focus on the automotive and mobility sectors, including inspection in auctions and service mechanics. Conversely, TVS Mobility India will host employees from MC, providing them with insights into digital deployment in the aftermarket business and supporting the growth of the independent aftermarket.

This initiative is designed to promote mutual growth and innovation, facilitate cross-learning, enhance skills and domain knowledge, and share business management expertise, while also aiming to train future leaders within both organisations. The programme is open to employees under 45 years of age with over three years of service at either organization.

R Dinesh, director of TVS Mobility Group, expressed excitement about the collaboration with Mitsubishi Corporation, highlighting the potential to address skill gaps and share best practices between the two companies.

Wakabayashi, executive vice president & mobility group CEO of Mitsubishi Corporation, emphasized the importance of expanding the mobility business in the Indian market alongside TVS Mobility, and anticipated that this initiative would contribute to the development of both companies and enhance Japan-India relations in the long term.

The programme is expected to deepen the partnership between TVS Mobility and Mitsubishi Corporation and increase the mobility of skilled Indian workers to Japan, addressing the shortage of skilled manpower in Japan. Additionally, the involvement of Japanese talent in India is seen as a means to accelerate cultural integration and optimize workforce mobility.
