Nestlé India has launched a thoughtful new policy to support employees who bring a new pet into their homes. Blending employee wellbeing with a compassionate workplace culture, the initiative offers both practical assistance and dedicated leave for new pet parents.
Under this policy, employees who adopt a puppy or kitten will receive a curated starter kit featuring premium pet food from Purina Petcare. The kit includes Supercoat and Pro Plan for puppies, and Friskies and Felix for kittens—ensuring that pets get a healthy start with quality nutrition.
Adding a unique touch, Nestlé India is also offering two days of paid ‘paw-ternity leave’. This time off is designed to help employees settle their new furry companions at home, recognizing the emotional and practical responsibilities that come with pet adoption.
This initiative reflects Nestlé India’s broader commitment to fostering an inclusive and empathetic workplace. By recognizing pets as an important part of employees’ lives, the company is nurturing a culture of emotional awareness and support.
Aligned with Nestlé’s global vision for holistic employee wellbeing, the policy extends care beyond conventional benefits to embrace lifestyle and emotional needs. It’s a forward-thinking move that promotes responsible pet ownership while acknowledging the evolving priorities of today’s workforce.
With this step, Nestlé India is setting a progressive example in employee care—demonstrating that the future of work includes compassion, flexibility, and yes, even wagging tails.
