Amazon India has announced that it is creating over 110,000 seasonal jobs across the country in preparation for the upcoming festival season. The move aims to boost employment and maintain high service standards during the festive season.

These jobs, both direct and indirect, are being offered in several major cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Chennai. The positions are aimed at ensuring fast and reliable deliveries for customers during this busy period.

As part of its hiring initiative, Amazon has employed thousands of women and around 1,900 persons with disabilities to promote diversity in its workforce. The company is committed to providing timely deliveries to customers in all serviceable pin codes across India by strengthening its fulfillment and logistics network.

To support its employees, the company has also launched various initiatives. ‘Project Ashray’ provides dedicated rest stops for delivery associates in cities such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The ‘Sushruta’ welfare program focuses on healthcare support for truck drivers and offers health camps for early detection and diagnosis in selected areas. Additionally, the ‘Pratidhi Scholarship’ helps fund quality education for associates’ children.

Amazon India also offers various amenities such as onsite medical facilities and participates in government programs to ensure employees are enrolled in schemes such as the E-Shram portal and Health ID under the PM Jan Aarogya Yojana. The company provides social security benefits, including provident funds and insurance for accidents and injuries.
