Raymond Lifestyle plans to hire approximately 9,000 people over the next three years as part of its strategy to open 900 new retail outlets. The clothing company aims to recruit an average of 10 employees for each store to support its growth.
Founded in 1925, Raymond underwent significant restructuring earlier this year, separating its lifestyle segment from its engineering and real estate divisions. This move was intended to streamline operations, attract new investors, and improve access to funding for the lifestyle division.
In addition to retail hiring, Raymond Lifestyle also plans to increase staffing in its factories to boost garment production capacity. While no further details have been provided, this expansion comes at a time when the global clothing supply chain is facing disruptions. Notably, Bangladesh—a major manufacturing hub—is currently experiencing floods and political instability.
Raymond, which serves clients like JC Penney and Macy’s, has seen a surge in inquiries from international businesses. Many companies are reportedly looking to India to meet their sourcing needs, positioning Raymond for continued growth in the global market.
