Samsung Group has officially launched its annual public recruitment drive for 2024, marking the first comprehensive open recruitment initiative of the year. The company’s 19 subsidiaries will be participating in the hiring process on 11 March.

According to reports from PressReader, Samsung Group is looking to recruit approximately 80,000 individuals over a span of five years, starting from 2022. The company is actively seeking new employees and is focused on achieving its targeted workforce expansion as the recruitment drive enters its second year.

Samsung Group’s press release revealed that it is accepting applications for its 19 subsidiaries, including Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung SDI, Samsung SDS, Samsung BioLogics, Samsung Bioepis, Samsung C&T, Samsung Heavy Industries, Samsung Engineering, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, as well as Samsung Securities. Other affiliated companies such as Samsung Asset Management, Hotel Shilla, Cheil Worldwide, S-1, Samsung Global Research, and Samsung Welstory Inc. are also participating in the recruitment drive.

Samsung is actively recruiting both experienced domestic professionals and outstanding foreign students, alongside new employees, to enhance its research and development competitiveness. Additionally, the company is fostering a flexible and horizontal organizational culture to allow external talent and individuals from diverse backgrounds to fully showcase their capabilities within the company.

As the only major domestic group maintaining an open recruitment system for new hires, Samsung aims to provide opportunities and inspiration to future generations. Samsung has consistently championed innovation in its personnel practices, aligning with the ‘talent first’ management philosophy to implement competency-focused personnel management.

Samsung is committed to nurturing young domestic talent through various initiatives. It operates the ‘Samsung Software Academy for Youth (SSAFY)’ in locations including Seoul, Daejeon, Gwangju, Gumi and Busan, providing free quality education to enhance the software competitiveness of young individuals. Additionally, for middle school students in challenging educational environments, Samsung administers the ‘Samsung Dream Class,’ offering education in areas such as English and mathematics, career and future planning, global competency strengthening, and software education.
