Samsung’s extensive job search for 80,000 new employees

Samsung cuts pay hike to average 4.1%, freezes raises for board members

Samsung Group has officially launched its annual public recruitment drive for 2024, marking the first comprehensive open recruitment initiative of the year. The company’s 19 subsidiaries will be participating in the hiring process on 11 March.

According to reports from PressReader, Samsung Group is looking to recruit approximately 80,000 individuals over a span of five years, starting from 2022. The company is actively seeking new employees and is focused on achieving its targeted workforce expansion as the recruitment drive enters its second year.

Samsung Group’s press release revealed that it is accepting applications for its 19 subsidiaries, including Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung SDI, Samsung SDS, Samsung BioLogics, Samsung Bioepis, Samsung C&T, Samsung Heavy Industries, Samsung Engineering, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, as well as Samsung Securities. Other affiliated companies such as Samsung Asset Management, Hotel Shilla, Cheil Worldwide, S-1, Samsung Global Research, and Samsung Welstory Inc. are also participating in the recruitment drive.

Samsung is actively recruiting both experienced domestic professionals and outstanding foreign students, alongside new employees, to enhance its research and development competitiveness. Additionally, the company is fostering a flexible and horizontal organizational culture to allow external talent and individuals from diverse backgrounds to fully showcase their capabilities within the company.
