Taiwan’s Delta Electronics plans to hire 3000 people in India by 2029

Delta Electronics from Taiwan has announced its plan to nearly double its workforce in India over the next five years. The company intends to add 3,000 employees, bringing the total to around 6,500 within this time frame. This expansion is part of its strategy to enhance its research and development (R&D) capabilities in the country.

Delta Electronics recently inaugurated its largest R&D center in Bengaluru as a key component of its $500 million investment plan in India, which was initially announced in 2015-16 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company currently operates three R&D centers in India, indicating the country’s increasing significance in the global technology landscape. In addition to the new R&D center, Delta Electronics is relocating its local headquarters from Gurgaon to Bengaluru to be nearer to its manufacturing sites in the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu, leveraging Bengaluru’s reputation as the Silicon Valley of India, known for its robust tech ecosystem and talent pool.

Delta Electronics is a renowned Taiwan-based global leader in power and thermal management solutions founded in 1971, headquartered in Taipei. The company is recognized for its innovative, energy-efficient products across various sectors, including power electronics, industrial automation, and ICT infrastructure.
