Tata Elxsi plans to take on 1,500 new hires in engineering.

Tata Elxsi is a company owned by the Tata Group that offers design and technology services to various industries such as automotive, broadcast, communications, healthcare, and transportation. According to reports, the company is planning to recruit at least 1,500 engineering graduates in FY25, with the possibility of increasing this number to 2,000 depending on the deals they close and the revenue they generate.

In the previous year, the company added a net total of 1,535 new employees to its workforce, and it plans to continue expanding its team. Although the company’s revenue from operations increased by 8.1% compared to the previous year, reaching Rs 905 crore in the fourth quarter of FY24, its profit after tax decreased by 2.3% YoY, to Rs 196 crore. Additionally, the operating margins dropped by 100 basis points in the fourth quarter of FY24, reaching 28.8%.

In FY23, the company hired over 2,000 freshers, and while the exact number of hires for this financial year is yet to be officially revealed, the company is expected to prioritize growth without sacrificing its margins. It is worth noting that the company recently declared its highest-ever dividend of Rs 70 per share for the latest financial year, which translates to a payout of Rs 436 crore towards dividends, or more than 50% of its net profit for the year, which was Rs 792 crore.
